Allyson Schwartz, Jim Greenwood, president and CEO of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), and Christopher Molineaux, president of Pennsylvania Bio, will host a roundtable discussion on the new Therapeutic Discovery Project Program. Women are significantly less likely than men to be awarded grants and New Investigator personnel awards from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, according to a new study published this week in PLOS Medicine by Karen Burns of the University of Toronto, Canada, and colleagues.
Patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee or hip who adhere to the recommended home physical therapy exercises and physically active lifestyle experience more improvement in pain, physical function, and self-perceived effect according to a study from researchers in The Netherlands.
