When it comes to some of the health hazards of light at night, a new study suggests that the color of the light can make a big difference.
A new poll from researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health and Knowledge Networks shows that many people with heart disease, diabetes or cancer believe the economic downturn is hurting their health and will have further negative impacts in the future. Many Americans with these illnesses face financial problems paying for medical bills in this economy.
Radiology practice team members will obtain quality improvement strategies to enhance patient safety and practice quality infrastructure at the American College of Radiology Annual Conference on Quality and Safety. The conference, which will be held Sept. 16-17 in Boston, will also encourage greater operational synergy within teams.
"The U.K. government has announced a fivefold increase in spending on combating neglected tropical diseases [NTDs] as part of an international effort to help rid the world of a group of infectious diseases that currently affect one billion people and kill more than half a million every year," BMJ reports.
