A study by Canadian researchers is providing a clearer picture of the evolutionary history and genetic organization of cannabis, a step that could have agricultural, medical and legal implications for this valuable crop.
Oasmia Pharmaceutical AB, a developer of a new generation of drugs within human and veterinary oncology, confirmed today the previously published findings from a head-to-head comparison study of its lead human cancer product Paclical and Celgene's Abraxane, demonstrated superimposable paclitaxel PK profiles. The study was conducted in women with metastatic breast cancer.
Mice transplanted with cells grown from a patient suffering from Huntington's disease (HD) develop the clinical features and brain pathology of that patient, suggests a study published in the latest issue of Acta Neuropathologica by CHA University in Korea, in collaboration with researchers at Université Laval in Québec City, Canada.
In a recent bioRxiv preprint study, researchers from the University of Hawaii showed that the S gene of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is continuously mutating according to the sequence and phylogenetic analysis.
The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas has granted $3.7 million to Rice University researchers to fund an innovative cancer diagnostics program.
