The age-specific blood levels of the Anti-M-llerian hormone (AMH) can predict when women will reach menopause. This makes family planning easier, say fertility researchers from the University Medical Center Utrecht, The Netherlands. Their findings were published online May 26 in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.
BioCision LLC, the CoolRack company, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Therapak Corporation for the distribution of BioCision's products into the clinical market. The deal marks BioCision's first distribution agreement for the clinical market and expands its access to clinical settings across the United States and Europe.
The Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Clinic opening this month at Stanford Hospital will help advance a new generation of diagnostic techniques for earlier detection and improved management of cancer, heart disease and neurological disorders.
There are a cluster of metabolic syndrome, that include obesity, high level of fasting plasma glucose, hypertriglyceridemia and hypertension, which is closely associated with the increased morbidity and mortality caused by several of the most common diseases including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and gallstone disease.
A 2013 study by Pérez et al. reported a very high accumulation of the industrial chemical perfluorobutanoic acid (PFBA) in human lungs and kidneys. The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) checked these results using a more precise quantification method. The result: Only one sample contained a quantifiable PFBA value of 0.17 nanograms (ng) per gram (g) of lung tissue.
