The prostate-specific antigen test, commonly known as the PSA test, is valuable in predicting which men should have biopsies and which are likely to be diagnosed with low-risk prostate cancer, a Mayo Clinic study has found. The findings were released today during a meeting of the North Central Section of the American Urological Association in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
GTx, Inc. today announced top line results of the Phase III clinical trial evaluating toremifene 20 mg, a selective estrogen receptor modulator, for the prevention of prostate cancer in men with high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia, or PIN, a premalignant lesion of the prostate.
Bayshore Home Health announced today the purchase of Saskatoon-based home health care company Nightingale Nursing Group Inc. The acquisition expands Bayshore's presence in the province, complements its existing office in Regina, and provides an opportunity to service additional remote northern communities.
