An investigation into how often wheelchair users are killed in car-pedestrian crashes finds they are a third more likely to die than non-wheelchair users; more than half of those deaths occur at intersections.
When older adults in severely debilitated states show up for treatment in the emergency department, emergency physicians and staff must be able to identify and document their symptoms and decide whether to report their concerns to adult protective services.
Though identifying data typically are removed from medical image files before they are shared for research, a Mayo Clinic study finds that this may not be enough to protect patient privacy.
Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. today announced the presentation of promising clinical data on CDX-011 in metastatic melanoma at the 46th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in Chicago, Illinois. The Phase 2 study has met its primary endpoint and the results support additional studies in this indication.
