Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), are a newly emerging cellular therapy being tested in approximately 250 clinical trials worldwide to help repair damaged tissues, such as injured heart muscle following a heart attack. Cermetek Microelectronics, Inc. today announced the CH24606 modem module. The CH24606, a V.22bis modem module (2400 bits per second), is the first Cermetek modem designed to comply with UL 60601-1 requirements for medical equipment safety. Cermetek has targeted the CH24606 as a low-cost communications solution for medical monitoring equipment. The CH24606 sells for less than $15 in 1000 piece quantities.
