Dr. Anne Bernheim, a senior lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, has been awarded a prestigious Krill Prize for Excellence in Scientific Research 2010.
All children should undergo vision health screening between age 36 and 72 months-preferably every year-using evidence-based test methods and with effective referral and follow-up, according to recommendations published in the January issue of Optometry and Vision Science, official journal of the American Academy of Optometry.
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center, together with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), announced that its landmark study comparing the safety and efficacy of drug-eluting stents and bare-metal stents was published in the May 7 New England Journal of Medicine.
New research published in the November 4, 2008 issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology, found that ADHD affects the motor skills of boys more than girls. By examining age-related improvement of motor skills in children with and without ADHD, researchers from the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Md. found that girls with ADHD and their typically developing peers were more likely to be able to control their movements compared to boys with ADHD.
Experts from Drexel University are available to comment on a new study on autism prevalence released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
