Cerenis Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing novel HDL therapies, today announced the completion of a Phase 1 study of the Company's CER-001 investigational product candidate to treat patients with acute coronary syndromes. Results of the completed study provide evidence that the investigational therapy was safe and well-tolerated at all dose levels evaluated, including those intended for future clinical development.
Actavis plc today announced that its subsidiary Forest Laboratories, LLC has successfully completed its acquisition of Furiex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.1 billion, and up to approximately $360 million in a Contingent Value Right (CVR) that may be payable based on the status of eluxadoline, Furiex's lead product, as a controlled drug following approval.
Patients who had access to GP surgeries with longer opening times in evenings and at weekend visited accident and emergence departments far fewer times than those who did not have similar access to primary care.
March 18-24, 2012 will mark the 50th Anniversary of National Poison Prevention Week (NPPW), first established by Congress in September 1961. As one of the longest continuously running, health and safety campaigns in the United States, the key goal of NPPW is to create national awareness about the risk of injury or death due to poisoning.
