Opexa Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:OPXA), a company developing Tovaxin®, a personalized T-cell immunotherapy for multiple sclerosis (MS), today announced that it has achieved its first technology transfer milestone in connection with the company's recently announced exclusive stem cell agreement with Novartis, one of the world's largest healthcare companies. The milestone was completed on schedule and triggers a payment of $500,000 to Opexa.
An estimated 18 American military veterans take their own lives every day - thousands each year - and those numbers are steadily increasing. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, changes in air pollution were associated with changes in biomarkers of systemic inflammation and thrombosis (formation of blood clot) as well as measures of cardiovascular physiology in healthy young persons, according to a study in the May 16 issue of JAMA, a theme issue on Global Health.
