As announced on November 17, 2010, certain members (the "Petitioning Creditors") of the Ad Hoc Group of Vitro Noteholders (the "Ad Hoc Noteholder Group"), comprised of holders, or investment advisors to holders, of the Senior Notes due 2012, 2013 and 2017 (collectively, the "Senior Notes") issued by Vitro S.A.B. de C.V. A UCSF research collaboration with GE Healthcare has produced the first results in humans of a new technology that promises to rapidly assess the presence and aggressiveness of prostate tumors in real time, by imaging the tumor's metabolism.
A small but significant proportion of morbidly obese people are missing a section of their DNA, according to research published today in Nature. The authors of the study, from Imperial College London and ten other European Centres, say that missing DNA such as that identified in this research may be having a dramatic effect on some people's weight.
University of Kansas researchers have found that certain specific parenting practices are significantly associated with the development of communication and language skills in children with Fragile X syndrome.
