With new daily coronavirus cases rising in at least two dozen states, an explosion of new infections in Arizona is stretching some hospitals and alarming public health experts who link the surge in cases to the state's lifting of a stay-at-home order a month ago.
Dalin Tang, professor of mathematical sciences and biomedical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), has been elected a fellow of the American Heart Association (AHA). Tang was elected to fellowship by the AHA's Council on Basic Cardiovascular Sciences in recognition of his "major and productive contributions in cardiovascular basic science."
Black and Hispanic people may be more likely to have another intracerebral hemorrhage or a stroke caused by bleeding in the brain, than white people, according to a study published in the June 6, 2018, online issue of Neurology®, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
