Obesity rates for American adults have stabilized while the rate of childhood and minority obesity is rising, according to a study in the journal Medical Decision Making, published by SAGE.
Lucideon, an international provider of materials development, testing and assurance, and Knight Mechanical Testing, an independent mechanical testing laboratory, are pleased to announce that they have entered into a Marketing and Commercial Collaboration Agreement. The agreement means that both partners will now be to offer a complete portfolio of testing and analysis services to the orthopaedic industry.
Deep brain stimulation may be a safe and effective treatment for Tourette syndrome, according to research published in the October 27, 2009, print issue of Neurology®, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
SINTEF ICT scientists have developed a sensor belt that monitors chronically ill patients and communicates the results via mobile telephone. The scientists are now about to carry out a user trial together with a research partner in the US.
