The anti-inflammatory and other beneficial effects of meditation and yoga practices make them potential adjunctive treatments of COVID-19, according to the peer-reviewed journal JACM, The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
GlobalNet Services, Inc., a premier information technology provider for businesses and the Federal government, today announced that it was awarded a $6.2 million contract to support the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Agency Wide Business Objects Support (AWBOS). Under this five-year contract, which includes one base year and four option years, GlobalNet Services will support an Agency-wide SAP Business Objects implementation to report, manage and maintain public health information.
Already in 2013, the German Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care examined in an early benefit assessment whether ingenol mebutate offers greater benefit than the appropriate comparator therapy for patients with actinic keratosis.
Mayo Clinic implemented a patient blood-management program in 2010 on its Rochester campus and has since experienced a 35-percent reduction of blood transfusions, improving patient outcomes and achieving significant savings.
