Recognizing that venous interventions may potentially play an important role in treating some patients who suffer from multiple sclerosis an incurable, disabling disease the Society of Interventional Radiology has issued a position statement indicating its support for high quality clinical research to determine the safety and effectiveness of interventional M.S. treatments.
A new study has been published in the journal Vaccines that deals with the present state of research on using mAbs for the treatment of the COVID-19 disease. Many clinical trials are being conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of several newly designed mAbs. Some of the mAbs are directed towards immune system responses, i.e., non-SARS-CoV-2 specific mAbs, while others are devised to neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 protein structure, i.e., SARS-CoV-2 specific mAbs.
Telementoring may be an effective way for subspecialist surgeons to assist remotely located general surgeons in the care of patients in need of emergency subspecialty surgical procedures, according to new research findings published in the September issue of the Journal of the American College of Surgeons.
The definition of extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB) has been revised by the World Health Organization's Global TB Programme, who have also defined pre-XDR-TB for the first time, highlighting the seriousness of these forms of TB.
Ceragenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
