New research from the University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen University Hospital shows that low levels of vitamin D are associated with a markedly higher risk of heart attack and early death. Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, TNK Therapeutics, Inc., has acquired multiple preclinical and clinical stage chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T immunotherapy programs as well as underlying CAR-T technology through the acquisition of two privately-held biotechnology companies.
Researchers at McLean Hospital will lead a five-year study to investigate the use of electroconvulsive therapy to treat severe agitation and aggression in people with Alzheimer's disease.
