Three grants for research that could transform cancer therapies have been awarded by the AACR-MPM Oncology Charitable Foundation Transformative Cancer Research Grants Program, an innovative partnership between the American Association for Cancer Research and the UBS Oncology Impact Fund managed by MPM Capital.
Researchers around Andreas Bartels at the Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neurosciences (CIN) and the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, Germany used this phenomenon to decipher a key mechanism of the brain functions that contributes to conscious visual perception.
Researchers at the School of Medicine, Washington University in Saint Louis, USA, showed that the intranasal route of immunization could provide a more efficient protection against SARS-CoV-2 compared to the intramuscular route (i.e. through ‘jabs').
Mark Bowden, the U.N.'s official in Somalia, on Sunday said "tens of thousands of people will have died over the last year" in the country's famine, adding that the rates of malnutrition are "amazingly high," BBC News reports.
