The Institute of Medicine today awarded the 2013 Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health to William T. Carpenter, professor of psychiatry and pharmacology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore.
Since vaccines protect not only those who take them, but also the people who otherwise could have been infected, there are many plausible motives for choosing to get vaccinated.
Parameters measured by positron emission tomography with integrated computed tomography at diagnosis can be used to predict outcome following concurrent chemoradiotherapy for stage III non-small-cell lung cancer, research shows.
