The discovery was reported online today in the journal Nature Genetics.
Researchers at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center have discovered that triple negative breast cancer cells can develop resistance to frontline, or neoadjuvant, chemotherapy not by acquiring permanent adaptations, but rather transiently turning on molecular pathways that protect the cells.
The independent Africa Regional Certification Commission for Polio Eradication officially declared on Tuesday that the World Health Organization African Region is free of wild poliovirus.
A new understanding of the essential role of gut microbes in the immune system may hold the key to dealing with some of the more significant health problems facing people in the world today, Oregon State University researchers say in a new analysis.
