Latino men who are more adapted to U.S. culture are more likely to quit smoking than their less-acculturated counterparts, according to research by scientists at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center published in the December issue of Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, which has a special emphasis on tobacco.
Seattle Genetics, Inc. and Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, today reported data on Hodgkin lymphoma and systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) patients retreated with single-agent brentuximab vedotin (SGN-35). Preliminary data demonstrate that objective responses were achieved in seven out of 11 retreatment experiences and that brentuximab vedotin was well-tolerated in the retreatment setting.
Wearable, smart technologies are transforming the ability to monitor and improve health, but a decidedly low-tech commodity - the humble toilet - may have potential to outperform them all.
