Bicycle-related head injuries fell significantly in the months after mandatory helmet legislation came into effect in NSW, and recent calls for a repeal of the laws should be rejected, new research based on hospital admissions data shows.
Physicians at more than 40 centers in France have joined a study of the CATANIA(TM) Coronary Stent with NanoThin Polyzene®-F manufactured by CeloNova BioSciences. With Professor Emmanuel Teiger and Doctor Paul Barragan as co-Principal Investigators, the researchers today announced the Assessment of The Latest Non-Thrombogenic Angioplasty (ATLANTA-France) stent study. Each center will enroll 50 patients with the first procedures expected in early November.
Scientists have known that shy toddlers often have delayed speech, but a new study by the University of Colorado Boulder shows that the lag in using words does not mean that the children don't understand what's being said.
Every year there are around 400 new cases of cervical cancer and a total of approximately 800 cancers associated with HPV (human papilloma virus). Two measures could reverse this trend: the nonavalent HPV vaccination co-developed at MedUni Vienna's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology under the supervision of Elmar Joura and HPV screening by means of smear tests as secondary prevention.
