A study carried out at the Institute of Biomedicine of the University of Eastern Finland shows that a common mutation in the PNPLA3 gene combined with overweight results in elevated ALAT values in children.
The human mouth is home to an estimated 800 to 1,000 different kinds of bacteria. Leishmania is a deadly parasitic disease that affects over 12 million people worldwide, with more than 2 million new cases reported every year.
