More than 1.7 million people in the U.S. alone suffer a traumatic brain injury (TBI) every year, often resulting in permanent disabilities or death. In a comparative study of 52 paintings all depicting the momentous event some rather interesting facts came to light.The study which was published by the International Journal of Obesity (April 2010) and conducted by Cornell University was the brain child of Brian Wansink.

Simple recommendations help reduce environmental exposures for women

Remove your shoes at the door of your home to avoid tracking in pollutants. Decrease consumption of processed and canned foods. Avoid the use of plastics with recycling codes #3, #4 and #7. Don't use chemical tick and flea collars or dips for pets. Reproductive health care providers should share these tips and more scientific information with women who want to become pregnant or who are pregnant, but that does not always happen.

Increased intake of dietary fiber lowers risk of hypertension and type 2 diabetes

Dietary fiber has been found to reduce the risk of high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes in a study presented at the American College of Cardiology Middle East Conference 2019.
