A Virginia Tech College of Engineering researcher is seeking a new way to help those who are unable to speak to find their voice. But this isn't "The King's Speech," the Academy Award-winning film about a British royal undergoing speech therapy to battle a stammer. Instead, Alexander Leonessa wants to help bring back the voice of stroke patients and others who have suffered paralysis of the vocal folds, through electrical stimulation.
BiondVax Pharmaceuticals Ltd. announced today that it received regulatory clearance from the Hungarian Regulatory Authority (National Institute of Pharmacology and Nutrition, OGYEI) and the Central Ethics Committee in Budapest to initiate a Phase IIb clinical trial. The initiation meeting was scheduled for today, September 30, 2015, together with the partners from the UNISEC European Consortium.
Cognizant, a leading provider of information technology, consulting, and business process outsourcing services, today announced that it has been selected by CentraState Healthcare System, a leading not-for-profit community health organization, to develop a strategy for transitioning to ICD-10.
