Because of their close relationship to patients, primary care physicians (PCPs) can act as a catalyst to help people be more active through physical activity counseling; however, doctors often encounter barriers to being able to properly address inactivity.
The abundant availability of food has become directly reflected in the paintings of the Last Supper made over the centuries. As we struggle less to get our food, the plates sizes and portions of food painted in by artists in depictions of the last supper of Jesus with his apostles also gets influenced. In a comparative study of 52 paintings all depicting the momentous event some rather interesting facts came to light.The study which was published by the International Journal of Obesity (April 2010) and conducted by Cornell University was the brain child of Brian Wansink.
Eight out of ten Australians would radically change their behaviour if tests showed they had a genetic susceptibility to depression, a national study has found.
"Six months to the day since a magnitude-7.0 earthquake leveled 60% of [Port-Au-Prince's] buildings and killed 230,000 people, there are few visible signs of improvement," USA Today reports.
