New research links three molecules to a critical tumor suppressor gene that is often turned off in multiple myeloma, a presently incurable cancer of the blood.
Few transgender adolescents opted to pursue fertility preservation, according to a report from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, published in the Journal of Adolescent Health.
Today, the International and American Associations for Dental Research (IADR/AADR) published a paper titled "-catenin is Required in Odontoblasts for Tooth Root Formation." The paper, written by lead authors Tak-Heun Kim and Cheol-Hyeon Bae, Chonbuk National University Korea School of Dentistry, Laboratory for Craniofacial Biology, is published in the IADR/AADR Journal of Dental Research.
A new theory of how cancer works could lead to the next generation of treatments of the disease. The theory suggests that cancer forms when recently evolved genes are damaged, and cells have to revert to using older, inappropriate genetic pathways.
