Harvard Stem Cell Institute researchers studying spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) have found what they term "surprising similarities" between this childhood disorder that attacks motor neurons and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Today the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) announced that they will host the 2015 Boot Camp: Infection Control Basic Training in Atlanta, Ga. from Jan. 12-14, 2015.

A promising method for promoting programmed cell death (apoptosis) developed by researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Weizmann Institute of Science paves the way for a possible novel therapy to target cancer cells.
