The NSW Government's introduction of amnesty bins at music festivals has been welcomed by Alex Greenwich, Member for Sydney, as an important first step in keeping people safe.
While tight swaddling may provide a newborn infant with a feeling of warmth and security, studies have found that regularly wrapping a child too tightly in a blanket or cloth may lead to an abnormal development of the hip joint, causing the ball of the hip to dislocate from the hip socket.
WaferGen Biosystems, Inc., a leading developer of state-of-the-art genomic analysis systems, and NuGEN Technologies, Inc., a leader in innovative genomic samples preparation, today announced they will co-develop and co-market simple, seamlessly integrated workflows for gene expression profiling and target enrichment to enable researchers to more easily achieve high-throughput, high-density real-time PCR with small, degraded, and hard-to-replace clinical specimens, such as formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue (FFPE).
The winner of the Johanna Duermueller-Bol DBMR Research Award 2018 is Dr. Stephanie Ganal-Vonarburg. As a Senior Scientist, she conducts research in the Gastroenterology / Mucosal Immunology Research Laboratory at Bern University Hospital and at the Department for BioMedical Research at the University of Bern.
RUCDR Infinite Biologics, the world's largest university-based biorepository, has completed an $11.8 million renovation project to create a new Genomics Technology Center, comprising 12,500 square feet of laboratory, office, and storage space on the Busch Campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
