Scientists at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University have shown for the first time that transplanted cells can cure hemophilia A (the most common form of the disease) in an animal model.
Efforts to create nanoparticles that deliver anticancer drugs or imaging agents to tumors while avoiding healthy cells are often stymied by a lack of known tumor targets, that is, molecules found on the surface of malignant cells but not healthy cells.
Radius Medical, LLC. today announced the FDA clearance and product launch of its new PRODIGY™ Support Catheter. Engineered to provide back up support to the guidewire when encountering difficult to cross lesions, the PRODIGY Support catheter will be a critical component in the revolutionary techniques now being developed in treating chronic total occlusions.
In exciting news for heart patients, researchers say they have successfully used stem cells to treat heart attack tissue damage in pigs.
