Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) on Wednesday signed into law a bill that will allow the sale of low-cost, bare-bones health insurance policies, the New York Times reports (Sack, New York Times, 5/22).
Glutamine could help people with obesity reduce inflammation of fat tissue and reduce fat mass, according to a new study at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and the University of Oxford in the U.K. The researchers also show how glutamine levels can alter gene expression in several different cell types.
On August 31, President Barack Obama signed a presidential proclamation designating September 2010 as 'National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month," stating: "Until we find a cure for this disease, my Administration will continue promoting awareness of this illness and supporting prostate cancer research and treatment."
AlphaRx, Inc., has been advised by Cypress Biosciences, its development partner for Indaflex, that Cypress is not funding development of Indaflex. Notwithstanding to the termination of all Indaflex activity in the U.S.A., AlphaRx continues to develop Indaflex for the Chinese market.
