Combining two or more drugs can be an effective treatment of diverse diseases, such as cancer. Yet, at the same time, the wrong drug combination can cause major side effects. Currently there is no systematic understanding of how different drugs influence each other. Thus, elucidating how two given drugs interact, and whether they have a beneficial effect, would mean a major step towards drug development to treat diseases more effectively in the future.
Researchers from VIB, UGent, the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and several collaborators developed a new antiviral strategy to fight human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), a leading cause of lower respiratory tract infections in children.
The University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology has been selected to participate in a new national network dedicated to serological, or antibody, sciences as one of four Capacity Building Centers in the country.
Whereas US and European medical centers are still beginners in breast augmentation with stem cell-enriched autologous fat, Viennese New Cosmetic Surgery and anti-aging expert DDr. Karl-Georg Heinrich is well-versed in this revolutionary method. In his Clinic DDr. Heinrich, he has been successfully offering breast augmentations with autologous stem cells to a broad public since early 2007.
