According to a new Universit- de Montr-al study, published in the latest edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), negative and positive emotions have a direct impact on pain.
The Ministry of Health Promotion joins the Canadian Cancer Society in the fight against cancer today to launch the fifth Driven to Quit Challenge. Since 2006, The Challenge has been successful in motivating more than 101,000 entrants to get on the road to better health with the support of a "buddy" and motivating prizes.
More than a third of Americans use some form of complementary and alternative medicine and that number continues to rise attributed mostly to increases in the use of mind-body therapies like yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercises.
