Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States announced today that 75 Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group physicians were named among the region's best doctors in Washington Consumers' Checkbook magazine's Spring/Summer 2011 edition.
The increase of intestinal permeability is associated with factors such as ageing, food allergies and intolerances and unhealthy diets.
A new report from the Dartmouth Atlas Project shows that the use of both effective and risky drug therapies by Medicare patients varies widely across U.S. regions, offering further evidence that location is a key determinant in the quality and cost of the medical care that patients receive.
It's a scenario played out all too frequently: Adult children, worried about the safety of their aging parents, foist devices on them to monitor their safety. And their parents, resentful of having their privacy invaded and losing their independence, resist fiercely.
Researchers from the Akershus University Hospital in Norway investigated 77 cases of CVT in vaccinated subjects to identify risks and warning signs to better predict these severe side effects.
