Researchers at North Carolina State University have discovered that the good bacteria found in dairy products and linked to positive health benefits in the human body might also be an effective vehicle for an oral vaccine that can provide immunity to anthrax exposure.
Phase Forward, a leading provider of data management solutions for clinical trials and drug safety, today announced its Central Coding™ application has become the first product to achieve certification by the Uppsala Monitoring Center (UMC). Launched today ("Uppsala Monitoring Centre Launches Software Certification Program for WHO Drug Dictionary Enhanced"), UMC's new certification is designed to help software developers quickly and easily integrate the WHO Drug Dictionary Enhanced.
According to a new study published in The Lancet Haematology, recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO), a performance augmenting drug has little effects on high-intensity laboratory cycling test among well-trained amateur cyclists; yet in the laboratory time trial test and endurance road-race up Mont Ventoux (France), the augmenting effects were typically undetectable.
Washington Hospital and Anthem Blue Cross today announced that they have reached an agreement which will continue the Hospital's delivery of quality care to Anthem members and the Tri-City community's access to its local hospital.
