A large study just published in the journal Anaesthesia raises important questions about the way anemia is currently managed in surgical patients (Associations of nadir hemoglobin level and red blood cell transfusion with mortality and length of stay in surgical specialties: a retrospective cohort study).
Advanced Cell Technology, Inc. announced today that it has strengthened its balance sheet through the elimination of approximately $3 million in debt over the past several weeks. The conversion of senior and subordinated debentures to equity has reduced the Company's outstanding convertible debentures to approximately $890,000. Since September 2009, Advanced Cell has eliminated approximately $33 million in indebtedness.
