Cardium Therapeutics today announced that it had entered into an agreement with Transdel Pharmaceuticals to acquire substantially all of Transdel's business assets including a Phase 3 product candidate Ketotransdel (TDLP-110), which is a topically-administered analgesic for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today announced 63 awards totaling more than $7.6 million to help states recruit new health care clinicians and alleviate their debt burden. The funds are part of the $500 million appropriated to HHS' Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to address workforce shortages and encourage diversity in the health professions.

He writes, "Much has been said and written in the media about totally drug-resistant tuberculosis… However, all of these discussions really miss the key point - that tuberculosis continues to be a huge problem in India, and that the conditions for emergence of drug resistance are undeniably prevalent, in both public and private sectors."
