Wolters Kluwer Health is pleased to announce a publishing partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and State Ministry for Scientific Research (ENSTINET). The two organizations have agreed to collaborate on the development and publication of leading medical and scientific journals and to help create a "Center of Excellence" in the region, bringing together the expertise of both parties.
Researchers from Israel have determined that more than half of liver transplant recipients develop post-transplantation metabolic syndrome, placing them at greater risk for cardiovascular disease.
Parents of obese children may not be able to recognise that their child is overweight unless they are at very extreme levels of obesity, according to research led by London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and UCL Institute of Child Health, research partner of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
