Researchers are able to achieve extremely high-resolution microscopy through a process known as stimulated emission depletion (STED) microscopy. This cutting-edge imaging system has pushed the performance of microscopes significantly past the classical limit, enabling them to image features that are even smaller than the wavelength of light used to study them.
In collaboration with the peer-led organization Survivors' Voices, researchers from King's School of Life Course Sciences have launched a charter to guide organizations and individuals to safely and meaningfully engage abuse survivors in health and social care research.
Why is it that some obese people are healthier than others? This was one of the main questions Dr. Chaodong Wu of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences - Texas A&M University System - and a group of researchers tried to answer in a recent study.
