A compound found in olive oil may help to prevent cancer developing in the brain, a study shows. Research into oleic acid - the primary ingredient in olive oil - has shown how it can help prevent cancer-causing genes from functioning in cells.
In an editorial in the current issue of the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), William E. Boden, M.D., professor of medicine and preventive medicine at the University at Buffalo, recommends that the results of the BARI-2D Trial published in that edition must be interpreted with "considerable caution."
Skanska has signed a contract with Williamson County Hospital District, Tennessee, USA to perform hospital additions and renovations on its campus.
