"Dr. David Blumenthal was not happy to find a new computer installed on his desk when he showed up for work one morning eight years ago at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He knew the hospital had been hard at work on developing an electronic medical record system, but Blumenthal wasn't keen on changing practices that had served him and his patients just fine over the years.
The Hennepin County Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation has selected the SCRAMx alcohol monitoring system for the county's Electronic Home Monitoring program.
IVCC will launch its new Malaria Decision Support System MDSS) at the 5th Pan-African Multilateral Initiative (MIM) conference in Nairobi, Kenya, 1-6 November 2009.
One of the biggest difficulties faced by worldwide programs aimed at eliminating malaria is that the tests they use are not sensitive enough to detect all people who have the disease and need treatment.
Giving clinicians a more complete picture while improving safety during interventional procedures, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. introduces Spot Fluoroscopy for its Infinix-i systems.
