Pulmonx Inc. has announced new clinical data from its Chartis multi-center study, presented at the American Thoracic Society's 2011 International Conference.
Colorectal cancer is the second most common type of cancer worldwide, with about 90% of cases occurring in people 50 or older.
Romark Laboratories announced that results of a large Phase 2B-3 US clinical trial of its new flu drug, NT-300 (nitazoxanide), will be presented as an oral late-breaking communication at the 49th Annual Meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) being held in Boston, October 20-23, 2011.
Researchers from the RIKEN Center for Brain Science in Japan have found certain chemical markers that are associated with schizophrenia. They worked with lab mice with models of schizophrenia as well as post mortem brain specimens of persons with schizophrenia. The study titled, "Excess hydrogen sulfide and polysulfides production underlies a schizophrenia pathophysiology," was published in the latest issue of the journal EMBO Molecular Medicine.
