For the past two years, they have been laying the groundwork for what they hope will be an era of collaborative prevention research of shared risks and shared rewards.
Alliance Surgical Distributors has seen a surge not only in interest to form surgeon owned distributorships but also in groups completing set-up. Current distributorships under Alliance include Inland Spine and Orthopedics, Mesa Surgical, Vista Orthopedics, Rocky Mountain Trauma, Alpine Surgical Technologies, Alpine Implant Alliance, JAB Spinal Systems, North Idaho Surgical Cooperative, Restorix Technologies, with many other groups under development.
Even though 60% of the global population resides in the African and Asian continents, only a small portion of these genomes have been sequenced, representing less than 0.2% of data currently collected. There are more than 4 billion people who are not represented well with the current genome sequencing efforts.
Close to 47,000 runners have spent the past several months training for the ING New York City Marathon. Once they have completed the race and achieved their goals, there are measures they can take to facilitate recovery, decrease post-race discomfort, and return to running without injury.
The majority of family doctors receive little or no information about harmful effects of medicines when visited by drug company representatives, according to an international study involving Canadian, U.S. and French physicians.
