eCareSoft announced today the completion of an agreement with Central Texas Hospital (CTH) to connect their network of six hospitals with eCareSoft's inpatient complete EHR and revenue cycle management technology.
Hodgkin's lymphoma-cancer of the lymph nodes-arises in more than 150 children and adolescents in Germany each year. Nine out of ten patients survive the disease, thanks to the highly effective treatments that are now available. Depending on the type of treatment given, however, there may be late sequelae, as discussed by Wolfgang Dörffel and colleagues in an original article in the current issue of Deutsches Ärzteblatt International (Dtsch Arztebl Int 2015; 112: 320-7).
Can the genetic makeup of their cancers predict how patients with lung cancer will respond to radiation therapy? And can this information be used to advance a genetically guided strategy for patients with these tumors? Cleveland Clinic researcher and radiation oncologist Mohamed Abazeed, M.D., Ph.D., has been awarded a $2 million grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to delve into those and other related questions.
More than 11,000 Australian lives in the past 10 years have been saved thanks to the generosity of organ and tissue donors and their families.
Crospon has today announced that it has received FDA clearance for its EsoFLIP balloon dilation catheter. This is the first product the in what will be a suite of dilation catheter products to be used for dilation procedures in the esophagus and colon. It represents the company's first foray into the therapeutic endoscopy accessory market.
