Aurora Breast MRI of Sarasota today announced it has partnered with Clear Channel Radio for a fundraising effort to benefit The Wellness Community of Southwest Florida. The fundraiser, titled "Change for Change," will consist of a series of breast cancer awareness messages throughout the month of October to encourage donations at area "Change for Change" locations.

Antimicrobial treatments for bacterial vaginosis (BV) are effective, but taking lactobacillus tablets alongside metronidazole antibiotic therapy increases effectiveness over taking this antibiotic alone, according to a Cochrane Systematic Review. The researchers also concluded that intravaginal lactobacillus was as effective as oral metronidazole, although they did note unexplained drop-outs from the trials.
A study of more than 15,000 men with early stage prostate cancer finds that those who received androgen deprivation as their primary treatment instead of surgery or radiation did not live any longer than those who received no treatment.
