TSO3 Inc. an innovator in sterilization technology for medical devices in healthcare settings using ozone, today announced that it has received instructions from US regulatory authorities to resubmit a 510(k) for its STERIZONE(R) 125L+ Sterilizer. As instructed by the Agency, TSO3 intends to provide additional data and to better establish the link between the sterilizer and a variety of accessory products used in the sterilizer, which are also subject to 510(k) clearance and have been previously submitted.
Patients with acute kidney injury who are admitted to the hospital on a weekend are more likely to die than those admitted on a weekday, according to a study appearing in an upcoming issue of the Journal of the American Society Nephrology. This disparity was most evident in smaller hospitals.
Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a serious but common complication of type 1 diabetes, is linked to lower IQ scores and worse memory in children with type 1 diabetes, according to a study led by UC Davis Health researchers.
Researchers at Umeå University in Sweden have discovered unique muscle fibers in the soft palate of the mouth in both infants and adults. The fibers seem to be present in greater number in snorers and sleep apnea patients.
