Using adult stem cells, Johns Hopkins researchers and a consortium of colleagues nationwide say they have generated the type of human neuron specifically damaged by Parkinson's disease (PD) and used various drugs to stop the damage.

Clinicians working across blood banking and transfusion applications can now reduce the environmental footprint of their operations by selecting certified energy-efficient refrigerators that have received a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR label.
