Children between the ages of 7 and 9 may be at greater risk for developing asthma if they consumed high amounts of fructose in early childhood or their mothers drank a lot of sugar-sweetened beverages while pregnant, according to new research published online in the Annals of the American Thoracic Society.
For hundreds of years, Chinese calligraphers have used a plant-based ink to create beautiful messages and art. Now, one group reports in ACS Omega that this ink could noninvasively and effectively treat cancer cells that spread, or metastasize, to lymph nodes.
Health care leaders have new, improved tools to identify children at the greatest risk of preventable deaths, based on surveys of more than 67 countries around the world by researchers at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
It was announced by 01 Data Center that it has applied to the government broadband stimulus fund to provide broadband access to healthcare facilities in the unserved areas of the US. Unserved areas exist in all 50 states because they are not connected to the internet infrastructure since most networks consider them too remote or too disperse and challenging to dig ditches and lay wires.
