Nanotherapeutics, Inc. announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Defense to support a clinical trial for treating dehisced surgical wounds with the Company's NanoDOX Hydrogel, a topical doxycycline hydrogel for chronic wounds.
Using data from the Women's Health Initiative, a new study has found that women with reproductive-period durations of less than 30 years had a 37% increased risk of type 2 diabetes compared with women whose reproductive durations were somewhere in the middle (36 to 40 years).
Some of the Pharmaceuticals intended for the treatment of minor illnesses of astronauts in space may require special packaging and reformulation to remain stable for long periods in the space environment. That's according to Dr. Putcha and her colleagues from NASA, Johnson Space Centre. Their findings, published online in The AAPS Journal suggest that some of the pharmaceuticals stored on space flights may have shorter shelf-life than they do on Earth.
