CANCER RESEARCH UK's Centre for Drug Development, in collaboration with the Rising Tide Foundation, a Swiss-based non-profit organisation which funds innovative cancer trials, today (TUESDAY) announce a new trial at The Royal Marsden and University College London that could revolutionise how children with one of the deadliest forms of cancer are diagnosed.
A new study examines fertility issues in male and female childhood cancer survivors who had received chemotherapy. The study found that while most female survivors still have a good chance of conceiving, male survivors are significantly less likely to father children.
Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leader in the development of novel therapeutic and preventive vaccines against cancers and infectious diseases, announced today the presentation of recent preclinical data using its next generation of minimally invasive intradermal (skin) electroporation delivery devices at the Phacilitate Vaccine Forum 2011 in Washington, DC.
The 4D scans of 15 healthy fetuses, by Durham and Lancaster Universities, also suggest that yawning is a developmental process which could potentially give doctors another index of a fetus' health.
