Gilead Sciences, Inc. today announced its intention to offer, subject to market and other conditions, approximately $1.1 billion principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2014 and approximately $1.1 billion principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2016 to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.
Scientists have discovered a potential biomarker that could more accurately identify which patients with non-hypermutated cancers will respond to specialized immunotherapy drugs called immune checkpoint inhibitors, according to findings published in Science Translational Medicine.
Zika virus is mutating so fast in Brazilian patients that different serotypes of the pathogen could appear in the near future, as is already the case with dengue virus. This would hinder the production of a vaccine and impair the effectiveness of the diagnostic tests already developed.
MedeGrip™, a new gripping and safety device that protects nurses' fingers and hands, will be displayed next week at the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) annual meeting. The device makes it easier and safer for nurses to perform various essential duties.
